Stating that a study was done in Texas finding that in counties where there was a lot of domestic violence the water was lacking a certain mineral. Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding a study from Stanford University. Finding that "surprise" medical bills are on the rise. Many patients are finding they are getting "surprise" medical bills even when the are going to an in-network facility. In 2010 if a person went to an emergency department they would have 32% likelihood of getting a surprise medical bill. By 2016 the likelihood of a surprise medical bill rose to 43%. With the average cost rising from $220 to $628.
