Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a survey of diabetics. Finding that nearly half don't always take their medications because they can't afford them. Three companies Eli Lily, Sanofi and Novo Nordisk control 99% of the market. There also is no generic version of insulin even though the drug has been around for 100 years. From 2003 to 2013 the price of insulin has nearly tripled.

Contending this occurs because of poor diets and lack of nutritional supplements. Asserting that there is no need to remove the gall bladder when stones form.

Doug Winfrey and Ben Fuchs discuss a news article regarding a study of type 2 diabetes. This large study of over 65,000 women ages 40 to 65 following them for 15 years. Researchers found that the women who consumed the highest amount of antioxidents had a 27% lower risk of type 2 diabetes. Other studies have found similar results. Ben Fuchs also adds that people should avoid sugar as well.
