Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article concerning a Harvard Medical School study on colon cancer. The study found that women who were given antibiotics for an extended period of time (more than two weeks) had an increased risk of developing colon cancer. Women who were given antibiotics for two months in their 20s and 30% had a 36% increased risk of colon cancer compared to women who didn't take the drugs. Women who were given extended antibiotics in their 40s and 50s had even a greater risk of developing colon cancer.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article about a study of over one million patients. Researchers analyzed 25 peer reviewed studies of vitamin consumption. Finding that those who consumed vitamins particularly vitamins D and B12 had a reduced risk of pancreatic cancer. Risk reduced by 25 and 27 percent respectively.
