Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding a sad story of an infant death. A mother took her five week old baby to the hospital because it was having trouble breathing. The doctors dismissed the symptoms as bronchiolitis. Common among infants and young children during the winter months. Sending the mother home without any more help. The baby didn't improve so she him to the pediatrician who advised her to take the baby back to the hospital. The hospital sent her home again with saline drops and a leaflet on bronchiolitis. The baby got worse and was eventually sent the hospital by ambulance. The baby was finally diagnosed with sepsis. His heart stopped and he died within an hour.
