Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article about a report out from the Environmental Working Group. The report states that some 22 cancer causing contaminants in community water systems. Which could result in some 100,000 cases of cancer over a lifetime. The list of 22 contaminants with carcinogenic risks detected in 48,363 water systems that serve 86 percent of the U.S. population or about 279 million people.

Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show discussing his career outlining his ability to uncover what killed 50 sheep in one night. Through an autopsy he discovered the sheep had high levels of nitrates in their systems. Causing the thyroid to enlarge finding that on night the sheep died the temperature dropped 19 degrees and the sheep died from hypothermia. Which he then published in a paper that got the attention of Marlen Perkins. Who then sent Doc to Africa on the white rhino project.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a study of sugars. A dietitian Jaclyn London outlines which sugars are good and which should be avoided. Stating that sugar should not be cut completely out of the diet. Explaining that the good sugars are found in foods like beets, grapes, carrots and grains. Natural sugars like fructose from fruit, lactose from milk and sucrose a combination of glucose and fructose.
