Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show today discussing a news story about a colon cancer study. The study found that although overall rates of colon cancer have been declining since the mid 1980s rates are increasing among younger adults. The study found Generation Xers and Millenials have twice the risk of colon cancer compared to people born in the early 1950s. They also have quadruple the the risk of rectal cancer.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding a British study. The study found a link between obesity and cancer. In fact people who are obese have a greater risk of developing and dying from breast, ovarian, kidney, pancreatic, colon, rectal and bone marrow cancers. Researchers analyzed results from 204 previous studies exploring the connection between obesity and cancers.
