Doug Winfrey and Melissa Golloday discuss a news article a new field called "nutritional psychiatry". Meaning this new field is studying the impact of diet on mental health. Research in recent years has shown that a healthy diet is linked to a reduced risk of mental health conditions like depression and anxiety. Some dietary patterns like the Mediterranean diet of vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds and healthy fats have been liked to a reduced risk of depression.
