The study of 36,000 men ages 40 to 29 found that those who ate mushrooms more than twice a week had a 17% lower risk of getting prostate cancer. In Asian countries mushrooms like reishi and shiitake are used to treat a number of conditions like high blood pressure, bronchitis and type 2 diabetes. Also boosting the immune system by stimulating immune cells that kill and eat cancer cells.
